The A.A. Grapevine

Did You Know the Grapevine is So Much More Than a Magazine?

I was sitting in a service workshop earlier today presented by one of our Districts and one of the trusted servants shared passionately about how the Grapevine has impacted her sobriety and her life.  It made me think more about it and I thought I would take a moment here to do a quick shout out for the Grapevine.

It made me incredibly grateful that my home group’s Grapevine Representative and our District Grapevine Chair have done an amazing job of sharing everything Grapevine (see image above) at my home group so our group members can learn about all of the products the Grapevine has.

If you’ve ever been on aagrapevine.org, you’ve likely read the Grapevine’s mission statement:

The AA Grapevine Mission Statement

The AA Grapevine, Inc. is publisher of the International Journal of Alcoholics Anonymous. Its primary purpose is to carry the AA message to everyone interested in alcoholism through its magazines, websites, and related items, which reflect the experience, strength, and hope of its members and friends on topics related to recovery, unity and service. It strives in all its activities to operate in accordance with the Twelve Steps, the Twelve Traditions, and the Twelve Concepts of AA, without soliciting monetary contributions from AA members or groups to fund operating expenses.

How are YOU using the Grapevine to help carry the message?  Does your home group have a Grapevine Representative?
